Comfortable room, convenient amenities, including free Wi-Fi and an electric kettle for morning tea, made our two-night stay enjoyable, especially since it is only 41 km from the nearest airport.
Everything was impeccable.

I had a clean, spacious room with a comfy bed and excellent value for money. The clean towels and bedding were a highlight though there were no utensils in the kitchen.

The room was cozy and the bed was surprisingly comfy, making it a nice escape after long days. I loved that there was a peaceful garden area for relaxing and a small pool for a refreshing dip. The only hiccup was that the Wi-Fi was a bit spotty in the evenings, but that didn’t ruin my stay at all! 😊

Great budget stay!
I spent a week here while getting my bathroom redone. For the price, it was pretty solid. My room was clean and comfy, with nice linens and even tea & coffee. The staff were super chill and really helpful. Just wish the Wi-Fi was faster, though. a good find for a budget traveler!

I recently spent four nights here, seeking comfort and tranquility. The location offered a peaceful atmosphere away from the busy town, although the steep hill was a challenge with my luggage. I appreciated the simple yet effective decor and found my room clean and cozy, perfect for reflection.

Budget travelers take note
The staff were friendly and couldn’t be more helpful. I had a nice moment when they recommended a local place for dinner, which turned out to be amazing.
It wasn’t exactly inexpensive, but for what you get, it’s still acceptable.

Paid for a double room but received a single room with two single beds pushed together. The toilet failed to flush properly, and heating was off until late at night, making for an uncomfortably cold experience. There was minimal space for personal items, only a wardrobe and one chair. the room was located in a convenient area, and there was a nice view available from some rooms nearby.

Great value stay!
Had a lovely 1 night in a budget double. Super clean and comfy. The staff were super friendly, just made us feel right at home. Paid £67 and got a cozy room with an ensuite, which was just what we needed. Breakfast was decent too! Only thing, the shower was a bit small for my liking.

The Maycliffe provided a pleasant stay, with exceptionally friendly and helpful staff who made the experience enjoyable. The room was clean and well-equipped, featuring a comfortable double bed and basic amenities like tea and coffee. The location, while uphill, offered a quieter environment, and there was ample parking available.
The uphill walk to town can be challenging.

I had a lovely stay in a cozy room with a double bed and great amenities, like a kettle and a TV. There’s a nice lounge area and a shared kitchen for relaxing. A minor downside was the lack of mirror in the bedroom, but overall, I enjoyed my time here! 😊

Unfortunately, noise from adjoining rooms turned into a significant distraction, especially at night when trying to sleep. The distance to the town was a chore. a steep uphill trek made the walk feel longer than it should have, resulting in a reliance on taxis which added to costs. upon waking from a fire alarm incident at 4:30 AM, the absence of any management presence added to the confusion, leaving guests outside for almost an hour with no clear communication or organization. These matters detracted from what could have been a more enjoyable stay.
